Board Member: Deran Ford
Legal Advisor Deran is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and has held a career in Law Enforcement. In addition, Deran has served as a Congressional Intern in the Washington, D.C. Office of Congressman Vic Snyder (108th session), as an intern for the Office of Judicial Discipline & Disability Commission, where he reviewed and investigated judicial complaints against Arkansas? Judges; he served as the Extradition Coordinator and Advisor for Clemency & Corrections in the Office of Governor Mike Beebe. In these capacities, he was responsible for ensuring that fugitives from justice were extradited back to the respective states. He assisted directors and the senior management team of Arkansas ? Board of Correction, Department of Correction, Department of Community Correction and the Board of Parole by way of advising and ensuring proper compliance with agency policy, law, etc. He advised the Governor and senior management on Executive Clemency issues, to include: Pardons, Commutations, Firearm Restorations, etc. |
